Red Peppers... It's whats for dinner!

Have you heard of Gina's Skinny Recipes? I'm obsessed! Gina's recipes absolutely rock! Tonight I'm making Turkey Stuffed Peppers and I cannot wait to devour them, the filling tastes delish and the aroma coming from my oven right now is absolutely mouthwatering! You can find the recipe here. Enjoy!

I just can't commit......

Ok readers, help a girl out..... I'm all non-commital when it comes to our master bedroom. We've been at a standstill since we painted it and frankly, I'm sick of looking at this unfinished space! We painted the walls Behr Valley Mist, which we had in our last house and I love.....

Our bedroon furniture is mahogany, sorta like this.....

And then our bedding is all white as well as white accents on top of dressers etc...... 

These two watercolors hang above our bed....

Here's where I need your help.... I want curtains that pop.....and for the life of me I cannot decide..... Grr! So far I've pinned a few of these fabrics, but nothing is jumping out at me....

Help me! Anything jumping out at you? Have any suggestions!? 

A Baby Shower for someone special....

Do you have girlfriends you've known almost your whole life, or at least what seems like your whole life? I have two very special women like this in my life. One is having a baby in May and the other is getting married in June. They are as close to me as sisters. we bicker like sisters, we tease like sisters, we laugh like sisters and most importantly, I love them like sisters. This is a big year for each of them and I'm excited I'm able to be a part of their special moments, even though I'm so far away....

While I was home I had the pleasure of co-hosting a baby shower with another dear friend for our sweet Christen. We're not sure what her little blessing will be so the theme was obviously gender neutral, but gosh it sure turned out cute!!!! A few pics from our little party....

As you can probably see, our theme was "Pea in the Pod," we had splashes of green everywhere, right down to the yummy menu! Such a fun shower, for such a sweet friend :).

Oh the things we cherish from childhood....

As I mentioned before, my parents are in the process of selling their home. While I was home my Mom and I started to dig through the closets and drawers, trying to get organized and get rid of the the things they hadn't used in over a year or so..... While we were digging, we came across this.....

This is a cookie cook book that my Mom has had since...FOREVER..... I can vividly remember thumbing through the pages as a kid, drooling over the recipes and then absolutely loving when my Mom would let my sister and I pick the cookies we'd make for the week. Look how loved this little book has been; the pages are stained with ingredients, age, and of course a little bit of love.....

Isn't it funny how the smallest, seemingly insignificant things can end up meaning so much?

A few things about Senor Ford....

Suddenly my child is REALLY into sitting on and in things. We're talking on the dog bed, in/on baskets, inside of cabinets etc. It's his new thing, see below.... absolutely cracks me up!

In other news we FINALLY put up the swing my parents got for Ford way back during Christmas. Needless to say, he loves it! He giggles the whole time!

And finally, can we talk about how long my child is?? He is gigantic! Just look at this "not so" baby! Someone's going to be tall like his Daddy for sure!

So, I promise I didn't intentionally decide to stop blogging for two weeks.... Bluntly, life just really got in the way! Over the past two weeks we've been super busy--- We've had some private family things going on, we went to Florida, I threw a shower in Florida for one of my besties, I started getting my parents ready to sell their home, and then on top of it all Ford and I got the flu, which we then promptly gave to everyone we saw in Florida. So, needless to say- IT'S BEEN NUTS! Ford and I are STILL not one hundred percent, we can't knock this dang cough left over from the plague...... it stinks!

Because of all the crazy, we decided to lay low this weekend; we relaxed and finished up a few easy projects we'd been putting off... Check out the AWESOME wall calendars hubby and I made out of base board, plywood, chalkboard paint, vinyl, and paint! I love them! They are huge and make me feel UBER organized! These were a cinch to make and (in my humble opinion) so adorbs!
